You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown

Based on the Comic Strip "Peanuts" by Charles M. Schultz
Book, Music, and Lyrics by Clark Gesner
Additional Dialogue by Michael Mayer
Additional Music and Lyrics by Andrew Lippa
Originally Produced in New York by Arthur Whitelaw and Gene Persson

YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN (REVISED) opened on Broadway in 1999. It is a fresh approach to the 1967 classic, with Sally joining Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder and Snoopy. Two new songs, "Beethoven Day" and "My New Philosophy," have been added; but all twelve original numbers (including your webmaster's personal favorite, "A Book Report on Peter Rabbit") have been retained.

Fans of the original show will recognize their favorite characters, songs, and situations but notice new musical arrangements and updated dialogue, keeping the show fresh and current. Never fear, Snoopy still engages the Red Baron in heroic combat, and Lucy still charges just 5 cents for her psychiatric advice. If you like Peanuts, you'll love this show!
